I had a lot of spiritual experiences after my son in law's fatal car accident. A particularly vivid one was of people arriving 'on the other side' through a kind of waterfall with the properties you mention. My uncle and father were there. Around the same time I saw what appeared to be the solar system as a closed loop, like Klein bottles with tubes connecting and passing through. Multi-dimensional. The colours were dull rusts and browns - the light seemed to be being sucked in rather than given out - like the moon in an eclipse, a bit. Following this there was what seemed to be the universe in a steady state. It was like a jewel, oblong with extra bits on either side, giving off beyond-the-rainbow colours brighter than anything. Like a kaleidoscope when I was small. I did see similar colours again after dowsing in Fortingall, Scotland, where I was scolded for touching the rock in the churchyard with my sticks and that evening had what was later diagnosed as an ocular migraine. Scary but colourful.
